I made this set of clues to hide for my own children so leaving them here incase they are useful for anyone.
I bought a 1000 piece puzzle (can use any size that suits) and will break it up into 24 piles to hide and find each day until the puzzle is completed on christmas eve.
We have a wooden calender where we will place a clue/riddle in each to guide the kids to find where the elf is hiding with the puzzle pieces each day.
Just print and cut out the clues and leave one out each day. Don't forget to hide your elf with the puzzle pieces each day in the correct place for them to find.
I have also written a little intro letter to leave out on day 1 with the first clue as an explaination. I will hide the elf with the letter in the empty puzzle box next to our calendar so they have the box for reference to build their puzzle.
I also included a sheet, incase the clues aren't completely obvious, of the places the riddles are referencing.
We are using the freezer riddle as the last one and will freeze the puzzle pieces in a bag, in a tupperware of water so they have to dig it out.
Each day we may (or may not) have the elf doing something funny alongside like tape it to underside of the table, have it making a mess with tilet roll in the bathroom, etc, depending on if we have lost the will to live with it or not haha
Happy hunting!
